PETKIT makes connected pet hardware — self-cleaning litter boxes, feeders, fountains — and sells it direct from Shenzhen. The engineering reputation is real. The service area is not what you would assume.

Where it ships

One line in the shipping policy settles it: within the contiguous United States. Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Guam, the Virgin Islands and military addresses are all excluded, and the page says so in a list.

Outside the US, you get pointed at a "Where to Buy" page of regional stores and retailers. A Canadian buyer cannot simply order here and pay the difference.

US terms are decent. One to two business days to process, free shipping over $39, $5.99 under, and cat litter ships free at any order value. If your order splits across warehouses, there is no second fee.

Payments: PayPal, Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Apple Pay, Google Pay.

Returns

Thirty days from delivery. You can cancel before dispatch; after dispatch you cannot, and it has to go through returns instead. If the order is caught mid-processing there may be a handling fee — the policy says "may", which is a word worth pinning down before you rely on it.

Return freight on a change-of-mind return is not stated. That is the number that decides what a return actually costs, and the policy leaves it open.

The part worth thinking about

A litter box is the worst possible product to buy on a 30-day clock. You are asking an animal to accept a machine, and cats take their time. Thirty days from delivery gives you maybe four weeks to find out, and if the answer is no, you are shipping a bulky object back.

So price it as final. If the cat takes to it, great. If not, you have bought an expensive box.

The warranty is the other open question. For anything with a motor, a sensor and an app, the useful question is not how long the coverage runs but where the unit has to go for service. Ask before you order, and keep the answer.

Who it is for

US buyers who want the automation and can accept that the return window is short. Not for anyone outside the contiguous states, and probably not for a household whose cat has already refused a covered box.

The store is honest about its limits, which is more than most. Believe the limit.
